“By faith is meant first conscious knowledge and second the performance of good deeds.” Bahá'í Writings

  Why I'm a Bahá'í

Bahá'ís live all around
the planet.

I’m about to talk about religion, but relax. My intention is that it may help you better understand my worldview and my art.

I have been a Bahá'í since 1986. The Bahá'í Faith is the youngest of the world’s independent religions. Independent means that it is not a sect or denomination of another religion.

Bahá'ís follow the teaching of Bahá'u'lláh, the Prophet-Founder, who lived from 1817 until 1892 in the Middle East. In 1868 Bahá'u'lláh wrote letters to the rulers of the world at that time; Queen Victoria in England, Kaiser Wilhelm in Germany, Napoleon III in France, Alexander in Russia, Pope Pious IX, the Presidents of the America’s collectively, and others.

In these letters He made an unprecedented and extraordinary claim to be the long-awaited fulfillment of every religion on earth, sent by Almighty God, to establish the Kingdom of God on earth. “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

Bahá'ís believe that Bahá'u'lláh's claim is true, that the Promised Day Is Come. There are currently about 6 million Bahá'ís around the globe, the most ethnically diverse religious group in existence.

The primary theology is unity; One God, One progressively unfolding Religion served by all the Prophets of the world’s faiths, and one race, the human race.

Bahá'u'lláh addressed humanity with these words,

“Let deeds, not word, be your adorning.”

Bahá'ís have the oldest and largest NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) status with the United Nations and are involved in social and economic development all over the planet, including progressive environmental education. Bahá'ís have promoted the healing of racism in America since soon after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. Bahá'ís are strong and global advocates for the equality between women and men and promote the establishment of a world language and a world script. We believe that a loving, united family is the foundation stone of a just and peaceful society.

In conclusion, I encourage you to investigate Bahá'u'lláh's claim for yourself. It is a message of certainity that we stand on the verge of a great and long awaited peace.

“World peace is not only possible but inevitable."

administrative body of the Bahá'í Faith.
